MADISON, WI – April 13, 2017 – RenewAire, a pioneer in enhancing indoor air quality (IAQ) energy-efficiently, cost-effectively and sustainably, is moving into a new, 111,000-square-foot facility that’s more than double the size of its previous building. The move is in response to growing market demand for Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs), and the new facility is seeking LEED Gold certification – a step up from the previous facility’s LEED Silver. In addition, due to the installation of RenewAire ERVs and increased-ventilation design, the facility offers a high level of indoor air quality (IAQ).

Strengthening sustainability and occupant health, while saving energy, are guiding principles for RenewAire, and the new facility realizes these objectives in several ways:
- LEED Gold: The new facility is seeking LEED Gold certification due to several key sustainability attributes, including: Offering high IAQ, renovating an existing building, recycling 95% of construction waste, improving energy performance by 34%, reducing water use by 40%, powering the building with 100% wind-generated electricity, using low-emitting building materials and providing substantial indoor lighting via LED bulbs and natural daylight with skylights and solar tubes.
- Green Globes and ENERGY STAR: In addition to seeking LEED Gold, the new facility is on track to achieve Green Globes and ENERGY STAR certifications, which will continue the legacy of RenewAire’s facility being one of the few buildings – especially among manufacturers – globally that are LEED, Green Globes and ENERGY STAR certified.
- Healthy IAQ: By using RenewAire ERVs to increase outdoor-air ventilation rates above the minimum standards set by code in all indoor areas, as well as bringing in 100% outdoor air in some spaces, the new facility enjoys a high level of IAQ.
- Optimized energy efficiency: By implementing a tight building envelope, an extremely insulated roof, LED lights and a highly efficient HVAC system with RenewAire ERVs at the core, the new facility’s total building loads are significantly reduced and energy consumption is minimal.
