RenewAire is founded and centers on renewable-energy generation, focusing first on solar thermal systems and expanding into solar electric and wind electric generation systems, passive solar heating and a variety of energy-conservation products.
Our first commercially available, static-plate, enthalpy-exchange energy recovery ventilator (ERV) is manufactured in North America to further reduce energy consumption and enhance indoor air quality (IAQ).
RenewAire is the first manufacturer with an energy recovery ventilator (ERV) listed under the newly created UL 1812 standard, which ensures the highest levels of quality and safety.
For almost 70 years, Home Ventilating Institute (HVI) has provided certifications for residential ventilation products. In 1996, HVI certified RenewAire’s line of residential energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) and confirmed our units’ superior heat and humidity transfer.
RenewAire is among the first group to obtain the newly created Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) 1060 commercial product certification. Our enthalpy-exchange technology is also certified by AHRI for low-to-zero Exhaust Air Transfer Ratio (EATR) at typical static pressure differentials.
The new RenewAire facility is one of the few buildings worldwide—especially among manufacturers—to be LEED, Green Globes and ENERGY STAR certified. The facility is also 100% wind-powered.

Committed to sustainability, RenewAire moved into a new 111,000-square-foot facility that has three Green Globes and is 100% wind-powered. The facility was built to LEED Gold certification standards—which it subsequently realized in 2019 —and equivalent ENERGY STAR criteria. In addition, the facility adopted numerous ventilation strategies, including 100% outdoor air without recirculation, thus providing healthy IAQ.
RenewAire launched CORES, the web-based quote to cash product configurator business tool. The online configurator was specifically designed to improve the user experience from project conceptualization to unit commissioning. The tool has enhanced the sales process, improved market visibility and increased the speed of business.
RenewAire’s new headquarters received LEED Gold certification, an achievement in line with our dedication to sustainability. Several factors led to this feat: high-level IAQ, renovating an existing building, recycling 95% of construction waste, improving energy performance by 34% and using 100% wind-generated power. RenewAire’s ERVs and DOAS units accounted for nearly 25% of the energy-performance points. Our headquarters is now one of the few commercial buildings in North America with both LEED Gold certification and three Green Globes.
RenewAire installed sheet metal fabrication automation equipment and added a second shift to accommodate rising demand. The equipment included a Salvagnini SL4 laser-punch, B3 press brake and a P4 panel bender. The new machinery positioned RenewAire for state-of-the-art parts fabrication.
The EV Premium Series’ SH, MH and LH models won TecHome Builder’s Brilliance Award in the Automated Ventilation System (HRV and ERV) section in the HVAC/IAQ category.
Committed to growing their manufacturing footprint, RenewAire opened a second facility in Dane, WI. Similar to its Waunakee headquarters, this space is dedicated to sustainability and innovation.
