WAUNAKEE, WI –RenewAire®, a Waunakee, WI-based manufacturer of HVAC and indoor air quality (IAQ) products, introduced the HE7X, a commercial energy recovery ventilator (ERV) that features seven static plate enthalpy cores. The HE7X is available for either rooftop or indoor applications.
The HE7X’s 1,750 to 7,700 CFM offers an additional airflow range between the HE Series’ HE6X (1,500 to 6,600 CFM) and the HE8X (2,000 to 8,800 CFM). The new model enables engineers to reach an optimum efficiency/airflow balance versus oversizing equipment for applications requiring between 6,600 and 7,700 CFM, potentially reducing a project’s upfront capital equipment cost and lifetime energy usage.
Like other HE Series ERVs, the HE7X, is a self-contained, stand-alone ERV that uses RenewAire’s renowned, AHRI 1060-certified static plate enthalpy cores. These cores transfer exhaust air energy and humidity to efficiently condition outdoor air in compliance with ASHRAE Standard 62.1 and Standard 90.1. The HE7X ERV can also operate in conjunction with ventilation distribution systems of centralized HVAC units. It’s ideal for commercial high rises, institutional buildings, and other facilities requiring fresh outdoor air at a low energy cost.
The HE7X comes standard with an enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) motor ranging from 3, 5, 7, or 10 hp. The horsepower flexibility allows upgrades to optional MERV 13 filtration from the HE7X’s standard MERV 8 filters while maintaining system external static pressure (ESP). Other airflow options include an IE5+ ultra-premium efficiency motor and variable frequency drive (VFD) upgrades.
The HE7X, HE6X, and HE8X come standard with neoprene vibration isolators, however, optional spring vibration isolators are available for optimal fan/motor noise, shock, and vibration reduction.
The HE7X, HE6X, and HE8X are now ETL listed for North America, potentially saving thousands of dollars as UL field certification is no longer necessary.
The standard control is a 24-VAC transformer/relay package. RenewAire’s new BACnet® fan control option is available to monitor and control the HE7X with a building management system (BMS). The HE7X is constructed with a single wall cabinet with 1-inch foil-based high density fiberglass insulation. Double wall insulated cabinets are also available. RenewAire’s new in-house paint booth can provide any custom color to match roof exteriors or corporate logos.
