WAUNAKEE, WI –RenewAire®, a Waunakee, WI-based manufacturer of HVAC and indoor air quality (IAQ) products, introduced the HE05 energy recovery ventilator (ERV). This ERV features an airflow capacity up to 375 CFM in a 12.1″ low profile, ceiling mount cabinet. As the newest addition to Renewaire’s commercial HE Series, the HE05 is a self-contained, stand-alone ERV, but can also be ducted into HVAC ventilation systems.
The 34.6″ (L) x 37.6″ (W) ERV fits into most T-bar ceilings, crawl spaces, attics, and other confined spaces that other ERV brands can’t accommodate. Although it’s designed to minimize above-ceiling clearance, the unit still allows easy accessibility for service and periodic filter changeouts.
The HE05 uses RenewAire’s renowned static plate enthalpy core to efficiently transfer energy and humidity between the exhaust air and incoming fresh air. It’s ideal for various indoor installations in retail stores, dormitories, assisted living facilities, multi-family buildings, and other light commercial spaces.
The HE05 features two 120V EC motorized impellers, allowing the end-user to calibrate two-speeds ranging from 120–375 CFM. Its ventilation operation also contains a manually-switched or remote sensor-operated boost mode for accelerated evacuation during adverse IAQ events.
MERV 10 filters are standard; however, MERV 13 filtration is optional because the HE05’s adjustable airflow and the EC motor’s backward-curved impellers can accommodate the increased static pressure associated with denser filter media.
